Using your Blue Shield of California benefits
Phoenix Health is in-network with Blue Shield of California, a distinct company from Blue Cross Blue Shield of California (Anthem), though the names sound similar. Blue Shield of CA is a nonprofit insurer based in California, and it's one of the more common plans we see among California families seeking care for postpartum depression, perinatal anxiety, and birth trauma. Our therapists are PMH-C certified and focus exclusively on perinatal mental health. If your card says Blue Shield of California (look for the shield logo and 'of California' specifically), you're in the right place. As an in-network provider, Phoenix Health bills Blue Shield directly. Most Blue Shield of CA plans cover outpatient mental health with a specialist copay after your deductible, and sessions are FSA and HSA eligible.
